Church Communion Table with Custom Artwork

2018-07-16T13:47:31-05:00

I recently built a custom communion table for a church. The piece features artwork that is inspired by the fishing boats that sailed the Sea of Galilee in the first centuary. I used various colors of milk paint to faux paint a weathered look for the boat. Blues and white were used to produce the look of waves and surf on the beach. Browns and yellows were used to give the beach and dunes a textured look. And various shades of blue used to give depth to the sky, with whites used to produce billowing clouds.

Marine Teak Table Top

The teak was protected with three applications of pure tung oil and citrus solvent mix. One more application the following year ... just in case. This was done 4 years ago and the teak still looks like it was finished yesterday. Good product, informative website ... thumbs up!

Beachglass

Beachglass was the perfect contrast, serving as a splash of sunshine on this entry locker bench. Another project complete with The Real Milk Paint, so easy to apply, and covers so well!!
