Shipping Costs
General Shipping Information:
Generally all orders received before 12 noon EST are shipped the same day. We normally ship through UPS and USPS. Our new shopping cart allows you to choose
the preferred shipping method and cost. All the product weights are calculated into the shopping cart which is linked to the UPS and USPS current shipping
rates to calculate your exact shipping cost.
Your package may come in a recycled box (some say keep frozen, please do not place products in the freezer). We use these whenever possible. Recycled
boxes are good for the environment and save us both the added expense of a new box. You order will be packed in shredded newspaper which we get at the local
newspaper and shred in our own shredder. Shredded news print composts much easier than news paper sheets and is another cost saving measure we
implement. Besides, I hate those peanut foam things, they stick to everything. Now when we get them we put them in the kids bean bag chairs!!!
We are constantly battling to keep the cost of shipping down and make every effort to keep the cost low as low as possible. In the end we only hope to break even.
Thank you for your patronage,
Dwayne and Beth
Shipping to Canada
The best most cost effective way for us to ship to Canada is to an address in the states just over the border. The Second best is with USPS. With USPS you only pay an $8.50 brokerage fee (information from a fellow Canadian) to collect tax.
With UPS you can pay $50.00 or more just for the brokerage fee for UPS to collect and deliver the tax.
Here is a tip from a fellow Canadian - You can go pay the tax ahead of time at the CBSA. Just take your invoice which we can email, pay the tax. When UPS shows up, show them the receipt for the "tax paid" and tell them to leave your package.
Customer Testimonial
Yesterday I received the tung oil that I ordered a few days ago. As you know, it was shipped in a recycled box, packaged in a previously used
bag (target) and packed with shredded newspaper. That is excellent! I'm sure not enough people thank you for shipping that way, but I certainly appreciate
your reuse of shipping materials and the lack of plastic. I'll look forward to placing my next order in a few months. Thanks,
--Steve C.
