Hide glue has been used for centuries. It is one of the first glues discovered by man. Hide glue is a natural gelatin that is non-toxic and environmentally safe. When you're not using it to crackle, you can repair your other antique projects. To use as a crackling agent, we recommend thinning 50% with water to a brushable consistency.
